    The De Wet  Peach is a Cling with red flesh around the pip and mostly red skin.  The flesh tends to soften at the point.

    It is also known as a Yellow Dessert Peach.

    Elberta is a Yellow Dessert Freestone Peach Tree.  Skin colour is yellow with a red blush, flesh is yellow with red around the pip.

     

    It is a very tasty and loved peach. High chilling requirement so not suitable for warmer climates. Harvest is late January.

    This peach produces well but does not have a long shelf life

    Oom Sarel bears large, fat, round yellowcling peaches. It is easy to grow, being a strong, vigorous peach variety

    Spray regularly with an organic pest control solution like Neem Oil. Start after pruning in July and every 10days to 2 weeks thereafter.

    Peach trees require relatively cold winters. The chill hours are calculated under 7 degrees in winter. If you live in a warm climate

    and your peach tree does not receive enough chill hours, it’s flowers may not open or they may have only a few flowers that open.

    It is very similar to the Oom Sarel yellowcling, a nice large, hard peach, which usually ripens mid December.
