Position
Plant this tree in areas with full sun as it will perform best in humid conditions.

These plants can grow up to 2-5 metres tall. For farming, these trees can be planted 1-2 metres apart.
Soil type
Bitter leaf plant will perform well in soil with a pH of 5.5-7. This is quite acidic, so add some acid compost to your garden soil or potting soil if in a container. They do perform best in well-drained humus-rich soil and prefer a moist environment.

Watering is mainly needed in times of dry weather. Water only as is needed.
