  • Berry Mix

    R40.00

Blueberry, Cranberry, Elderberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, and Tayberry Plants all require acidic soil

One bag is enough for Elderberry, Raspberry, Blackberry and Tayberry Plants as they require slightly acidic soil.

Blueberry and Cranberry Plants however need a soil pH of 4.2 – 5.5, which is VERY acidic, therefore Blueberry Mix is not sufficient on it’s own to reduce the soil pH. Add a bag of Lithuanian Spaghnum Peat Moss as well!

  • Volcanic Rock Dust

    R20.00

Today our soils have been leached of all their nutrients by over farming, the use of chemicals, pesticides and the poor quality of water.

Volcanic Rock Dust contains more than 72 minerals and trace elements that nourish the soil returning it to a healthy, rich state.

Obviously, healthy soil will produce healthy plants. It is very easy to use and will never ‘burn’ a flower or plant. A little goes a long way.

We pack our Volcanic Rock Dust in 700gram bags which is enough for one plant.

  • Pine Bark Mulch

    R40.00

Pine Bark Mulch is the bark from a pine tree. It is a great way to lower the ph of soil and to add organic matter.

As it decomposes into the soil it adds acidity. It is therefore necessary to add a tbhick layer of pine bark mulch every 3-4 months, but please make sure when using it to not have it touching the branches of the plant. This may cause the branches to rot and get infected especially with new (one and two year old branches).

Remember to keep the mulch away from the trunk or branches, though.
